When I got the chicks, I had 8 weeks to build a coop. After getting some good bikes rides in and a busy Mothers Day weekend, I have still not started my coop. I now have about 3 weeks to get one done and I am doing a lot of studying up on the different elements that make up a good coop. I have a small bit of wood and shingles left over some from some other projects, that I hope to not spend too much money. Below is some of the good information I have found.
I have been scouring BackyardChickens.com and BuildAChickenCoop.com for different coop designs.
